Less Mindless, More Meaningful: What AI Is Actually Taking From Event Work
AI is changing event work task-by-task. Aspects of many jobs will change, while others will remain uniquely human. Roughly 40% of event work can now be AI-supported or AI-owned. The AI-owned share sits mainly in admin, data and reporting. Relationships, strategy and onsite judgment stay human. This report maps which is which, and shows what changed when one events team put it to work.

Five ways to own a task
Handing a task to AI isn't one decision. The report sets out five levels of ownership, from work a person does entirely to work that can run without supervision, with examples of each from a working events team. Choosing the right level for each task is where the time comes back.
"If you can't say what a successful event would have changed, you're not measuring ROI. You're measuring attendance with extra steps."
Score your own team
Five questions to score any task, one task per row. Built to be run by a team lead, not a transformation office.
